Topic: A Poet's Garden
Gardens have inspired artists and writers for centuries. HGC member and literature buff Veronica Shelley will discuss how garden designs reflect their times and have been celebrated through history in a variety of verses. The public is invited to join us.

Topic: Garden Success with Local Plants

UNH Program Coordinator Emma Erhler will explain why using native plants in  your garden is a great way to ensure success and support the local environment. This program is open to the public; please join us.

Topic: Turn Small Spaces into WOW places!

Just because you have a small garden or outdoor space doesn't mean it can't be fabulous. Come see the floral experts from Churchill's Garden Center demonstrate creative ways to  bring planters, container gardens, even yard art into small spaces. This program is open to the public.

Join us for a tour of Mei Yuk's beautiful gardens and enjoy a traditional Chinese tea in the garden. Carpool from St. Anne’s if possible.

 Join us for a tour of the extensive gardens and landscapes at this gorgeous Chester property. We'll enjoy the gazebo, water features and lovely grounds. Carpool from St. Anne's if possible.

Location: Springlook Farm, Derry, NH
Topic: Hurray for Hydrangeas!
After enjoying a sandwich swap in the flower-filled pergola area, we'll be given a presentation on how best to plant, prune and care for that New England staple, the hydrangea. Carpool from St. Anne’s if possible.

September 16, Wednesday - Open to Public!   Time: 7:00 pm

Topic: A-Z Gardening with Essential Oils
HGC member Dr. Marie Somers will show us how to control garden bugs and pests the organic way, using essential oils for a healthy, thriving garden. This program is open to the public, so please join us.

Topic: Decorating with Nature's Bounty
Using autumnal plants found in the backyard or woods, HGC member TJ Comeau will show us how to use natural materials to create stunning baskets, centerpieces and bouquets. 

November 21, Saturday                                       Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Location: Hampstead Congregational Church, Hadley Hall
Topic: Deck the Halls
“All hands on deck” as we gather to make and hang holiday decorations around the town. The Deck the Halls Committee provides the greenery, decorations, and a sample of the creative design. Club members will assemble the wreaths and garlands, then hang them outside. Dress warmly for this fun indoor/outdoor event.

December 4, Friday                                  Time: 7:00 pm

Topic: Holiday Party 
Let's round off the year and celebrate with our friends at our annual Holiday Party. Join fellow club members at this not-to-be-missed event for food, wine and lots of fun.
