We’ll gather for some hands-on training on the best pruning techniques from some of our club's experts.

Topic: Preparing for the Plant Sale

At this meeting we'll learn how to prepare for our "Down and Dirty" plant sale. You'll learn about digging, dividing, labeling and presenting the plants to the public. You'll come away with new found knowledge about handling and dividing perennial plants. And it's fun!

Location: Churchill's Garden Center, Exeter, NH

Topic: Tranquil and Restful Plantings

Come see the floral experts from Churchill's Garden Center to hear ideas on how to create a special relaxing spot at home with beautiful flowers and plants, whether in your yard or on a deck/patio. We'll also have an opportunity to tour the Garden Center and time to shop for something special.

Location: Sweet Hill Farm, 80 Newton Road, Plaistow, NH

Topic: Organic Farming at Sweet Hill Farm

We’ll be introduced to organic farming and get to know what Italians refer to as “campanilisimo”, that sense of place and belonging. Store manager Laura Cafiso will give us a tour and discuss the plans for this brand-new organic farm, marketplace and tavern.

Location: Stephanie Carney’s Farmette
Topic: Feeding the Body and Soul with Herbs
The Carney property is truly a place that provides food for the body, mind and soul.  Our host, Stephanie, will provide herbs from her gardens and show us how she uses them in her cooking. Carpool from St. Anne's if possible.

Location: Ed and Ginny Duston’s home
Topic: Sustaining Life from the Garden
The Duston homestead abounds with gardens, fruit trees and a greenhouse. Ed will show his knowledge of organic gardening methods, including crop rotation and companion planting. Carpool from St. Anne’s if possible.

 Tea Connoisseur Nicole Gagliardi from the Spice and Tea Exchange of Portsmouth will be treating us to a presentation on herbal teas.

Topic: Deck the Halls
“All hands on deck” as we gather to make and hang holiday decorations around the town based on the creative design from the Deck the Halls Club members will assemble the decorations, then hang them outside. Dress warmly for this fun indoor/outdoor event.

Topic: Holiday Party 
Let's round off the year and celebrate with our friends at our annual Holiday Party. Join fellow club members at this not-to-be-missed event for food, wine and lots of fun.
